A B7 bolt is classed as a high tensile bolt. Made from ferritic steel—high chromium, magnetic stainless steel with low carbon content—these bolts are a very common choice for the securing of pressure vessels, valves, fittings and flanges. They can withstand temperatures of up to 1100°F/600°C and extremely high pressures, and are commonly matched with 2H heavy hex nuts. Here are the properties:
